* Jet Engine Mechanic

The Jet Engine Mechanic will be responsible for performing duties as directed and assigned. Personnel assigned maintenance functions shall report to the Jet Engine Repair Manager or Supervisor and are specifically responsible for:

  • Properly executing duties assigned
  • Performing maintenance and alteration tasks on engine parts/modules in accordance with the current technical data provided in manufacturer’s Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, services letters Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
  • Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record

Qualifications (minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to):

  • Minimum three years jet engine maintenance work experience; CFM56 series engines preferred
  • Must have basic mechanical skills
  • Must own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools as needed to perform power plant maintenance functions
  • Must take instructions and guidance well
  • Must be goal oriented, have good attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and also as an individual
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which includes bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for a long period of time
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and Power Plant License
  • Must possess a positive attitude, and be an energetic self-starter who also works well in a team environment
  • Must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, diligent, proactive and focused
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Must hold a valid United States identification; must be able to work in the USA; must be able to speak, read, and write the English language
  • Please note this a safety sensitive position, in a drug free work place; Random drug and alcohol testing will be administered
