Production Planner – Day Shift

What You Will Do:
The Production Planner will be responsible for reviewing/scheduling engine repair to meet company needs and customer expectations. This will include liaising with all relevant departments: Inventory, Machine Shop, Inspection, Purchasing, Assembly/Disassembly, and Quality to ensure all aspects of MRO have been covered.
- Thoroughly review work scope to understand scope of repair and customer deliverables
- Coordinate with purchasing department to make sure all material needs have been identified and ordered
- Knowledge in Quantum is essential and must be an effective user of systems
- Responsible to ensure internal/external repair work orders are in place to meet engine schedule
- Coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure resources are available to complete tasks on time
- Send out weekly progress reports
- Review of TAT time to plan out a realistic production schedule
- Participate in production meetings and highlight critical path
- Prepare work-around plans to surge capacity and expedited delivery demands
- Ensure all parts, materials, and tooling are available to perform planned task
- Follow procedures and regulations to comply with FAA and other quality standards
- Make recommendations to management on process improvements
- Work closely with mechanics to set delivery expectations
Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to…
- Strong organizational skills
- Associate’s degree (Aviation) or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- Excellent IT skills – strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Prior knowledge of Quantum is essential and must be an effective user of systems
- Experience in the MRO Aviation industry
- Minimum 5 year experience as a Production Planner / Coordinator
